Employee Performance is moving to NEOGOV!

Yes, you read it correctly! The City will be introducing individual employee performance connected to overall organizational success. The Performance module in NEOGOV is part of this effort. This new module is part of your NEOGOV dashboard and is where you and your leader will set your goals, continuously track your performance, and most importantly identify actions towards your development. We have been actively working on how to modernize the old annual performance review process into a continuous performance evaluation process for the City. While the Performance module will provide great features for leaders and their employees to evaluate performance, accountability, and development, we must ensure there is a transparent, systematic, and equitable performance management process in place that will guide how NEOGOV Performance is designed and built.

Below are some details regarding how we are going about this important and critical work:

Journal Entries

One of the most exciting features of the Performance module is the ability to write a Journal Entry. Journal entries are a helpful tool to foster and encourage communication between leaders and direct reports in Performance.

Journal Entries can be used to keep notes throughout the year about yourself as the employee or about the employees that report to you if you are a leader. Journal Entries are available for review when completing your performance evaluation. A great use of this feature will be to store/enter feedback from an internal or external customer or partner regarding an employee.

Remember, the NEOGOV dashboard is live today, you can go in and check it out by logging into NEOGOV on OneAsheville under apps. Note, not all the features are live and ready to use.
